Our multi-award winning Nitmiluk with the beautiful Cicada Lodge and its renown  Restaurant are fast becoming one of Australia’s most exciting destinations, combining exceptional Australian food and wine experiences against a backdrop of world-class nature and wildlife.

Last Friday, Cicada Lodge and Nitmiluk were among the best in the nation to win multiple awards (three Gold) from 200 finalists of the nation’s best at the 2019 Australian Tourism Awards; the peak awards program recognising excellence in tourism.

Cicada Lodge won Gold in the Luxury Accommodation category, Cicada Lodge Restaurant won Gold for the Tourism Restaurants and Catering and Nitmiluk won Gold for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Tourism category.

If that was not enough, Nitmiluk National Park won Bronze as Major Tourist attraction!

With regional epicure known as a key driver of visitors to Australia, we are very proud of our Nitmiluk food and wine experience. Spoilt for choice, our Guests can indulge in a five star dinner service on the Nabilil Dreaming Sunset Dinner Cruise (with stunning scenic beauty of the Katherine River), dine in with Cicada Lodge’s nightly Chef’s Table and stay overnight, enjoying the tranquility of the Lodge’s beautiful surroundings.

As the signature tour experience at Nitmiluk Gorge, the Nabilil Dreaming Sunset Dinner Cruise serves up native cuisine in a unique destination five days a week. The dining vessel operates in ‘the Dry’ and  combines a spectacular gorge cruise with five star dining that is considered a bucket list experience for many visitors to NT’s Top End.

Cicada’s nightly Chef’s Table draws visitors from around the world with its outstanding local ingredients. Salt bush, lemon myrtle, to mention some, are sourced locally along with other fresh produce sourced locally.

Not just an exceptional food destination, Cicada seamlessly integrates luxury overnight resort accommodation to provide visitors with a dine and stay package that can extend into multi-day adventure cruise and walk itineraries.

With a range of Boat Tours, Canoeing, Heli Flights, Walks, Cultural Experiences and Cave Tours, combined with different choices of accommodation, Nitmiluk has something from everyone.

The Australian Tourism Awards win highlights our long term commitment. We have celebrated in 2018 the 40 year anniversary of the historic native title claim at Nitmiluk Gorge and cemented our place as one of the country’s most highly awarded tourism outfits.
