Visitor Centre

The Nitmiluk Visitor Centre is located at the entrance to Nitmiluk Gorge and should be your first stop when visiting the national park. Friendly staff are on hand to assist with your tour and travel enquiries on walking, camping and other activities.

As well as being a vital hub for tourist information, the Visitors Centre has a restaurant, souvenir shop and cultural displays.

Dining at Nitmiluk Café is a tasty destination in its own right, showcasing spectacular views over the Nitmiluk Gorge from the outdoor deck. Open for breakfast and lunch, you can enjoy café and bistro style meals, a light snack or refreshing drink, while the Australian outback comes to life around you. There are also local specialties like Barramundi on offer to satisfy your hunger.

We thank you for the understanding during these difficult times. Katherine is located in a remote area of Australia. Due to the pandemic and the closure of the borders, we were forced to close down until futher notice from March to June, which meant we asked most of our Team members to leave. We are now reopening and it is not easy to find Team Members ready to work for a few weeks only (due to the uncertainty created by the pandemic) in such a remote area. We are trying our very best and we do apologise for not being able to offer our regular Food and Beverage services 7 days a week.

Ensure the memory of Nitmiluk Gorge stays with you forever by taking home a precious souvenir.
