"The Northern Territory was always on the ‘bucket list’ of places to explore. With a background in guiding and a love for flora and fauna, I decided to head north from Hobart to start a new adventure.
Nitmiluk was a standout as it had a strong focus on Jawoyn Culture, was 100% Aboriginal owned, had a range of Flora and Fauna, a rich history and boasted one of the most beautiful landscapes I had ever seen!
Every day as a River Guide you learn something new, or see something from a different perspective – you always want to go to work!
By boat, we travel through the first 3 Gorges in the 13 Gorge system. By helicopter, you can see all 13 from a birds eye view – a stunning contrast that amazes me every time.
My favourite place at Nitmiluk is a hidden Rock Art Site – understanding, depicting and appreciating the paintings is a humbling feeling. "
